Mom's Day and School

Mother's Day:

Mother's Day Card- $2.99

Breakfast-$30.00

See Mom pretend she liked her gifts- Priceless...and sad.

I'm guessing Mom's day rules...they should totally make like a son's day. Or maybe another holiday where I get more gifts cause I'm totally into getting stuff.

In other news I start school again tomorrow and I'm not happy at all. I mean get to spend my summer sweating in classrooms. I really miss those summers where I would get like 2 months of doing completely nothing.

Memories...

We have Contact

After all of this I have decided not to go through with the Lasik surgery because I simply...am broke.

The Economy Rules!

But I have gotten my contacts. So they are a pain to put in and even worst to take out but it's a whole lot better then having those evil glasses on my face. No more foggy lenses when it rains...so uncool.

I think contacts give me a few points on the cool scale. Who's keeping track?

In other news I'm wrapping up my final exams and then I get a week off before I do it all over again in a week. God I'm sick of school and there's so much ahead to.

Stay Tuned.

What's "In"teresting

So I haven't really taken the leap into the Twitter World yet. It hasn't really peaked my interest just yet but who knows. I know there are tons of people interested in what I'm doing every second of my life right...right?

I have finals starting next week and after that it's a week off before I have to start all over again for the summer semester.

Knowledge Rocks!

Sometimes I find myself completely terrified of the future. I'm nervous but interested in what's gonna happen. It's really amazing how many twist and turns life takes.

I have so many interest that I really don't know how to make a life out of them. OK...I need to stop myself before I get to serious.

Till next time.

Lately...

Besides trying to keep up with all my classes and hoping that somehow I manage to pass all of them I've been:

-Watching Arrested Development episodes and trying to jump on the bandwagon that pass me by a long time ago.
-Thinking of legal ways to make money somehow pay for my Lasik Surgery. Got nothing so far.
-Looking for some time to sit down and start my screenplay.
-Trying to figure out what's going on on LOST. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
-A lot of wondering and pondering which I'm awesome at.

I also been watching that new show "Southland." Which is about cops and stuff. Well...it holds my attention.

Finals and More!

So, right about now I'm wrapping up the semester at my school. So that means tons of work and trying to some how lure the professors into giving me extra credit...am I the only one who thinks that didn't sound right?

I got finals coming up and I'm all stressed about that.

I also might be getting Lasik eye surgery this week...maybe...if the wallet allows...but probably not...but who knows?

Uncertainty Rocks!

Anyway I need to get back to regularly blogging after all this school stuff is done.

You see...I'm responsible...sometimes.

Watch the Curb!

Today I had to run a few erans. One of them was to go to the post office to send some money. (Gotta pay for Entertainment Weekly!)

Well anyway I parked to write out the money order. Easy Right?

Well I decided to drive again, completely forgetting that there was a huge curb in front of me. So what does smart Bryan do? I just completely drive over the curb and make a scene that did not need to be made.

A few people looked back at the loud noise that my car made as it drove off the curb. I was so humiliated I drove off and came back to the post office an hour later.

Hey...that curb was in my way!

Good Day.

New Blog!!!

So I have decided to create a new blog that will feature me talking about everything pop culture.

Why?

I was thinking that if I one day want to have my own section or column for a popular magazine or website or...something else... I will have to show someone...anyone...that i might have some slight skill when it comes to writing about film, or music, or anything that consist of helping us escape the misery that is life.

Optimism is awesome. (Don't Worry I will still contribute to this one.)

Blog is Here: dhweloveu.blogspot.com

The Tooth Post

So I have had a discomfort in my mouth for a while now so I decided to take a little stroll down to the Dentist Office so he could have a look.

The Dentist told me it was one of my wisdom teeth that had already found shelter in the back of my mouth . So about a half hour later I found myself walking out of there with one less tooth then I walked in with.

Huh? I didn't sign up for this. I have no idea why I agree to pull it out on the spot. Though I was fascinated by how casual the Dentist was as he made his way towards my mouth with the greatest set of pliers man has made.

And after he pulled it out he shook my hand as if we had just agreed on a business deal. Hell, I didn't even get free floss like I usually do...but I did get an abundance of free gauze. Well I'm guessing the other 3 will come out soon as well. I'll be sure to keep you updated on the amazing story that are my teeth.

The Sun Hates Me

So today I had the pleasure of driving to school with a car that has no air conditioner. At the same time, the sun had the pleasure of donning his burning hot rays of light directly on me.

It felt like 90 degrees today.

I suffered every time i had to stop at a red light and had to endure the horror of not having any air flow through my window. As sweat formed, so did my rage and jealously every time a person in their air conditioned car drove past me.

I'm sure I'm not the only unfortunate person who sports an AC less car. I'm sure their plenty of people driving ovens on wheels.

Maybe the heat is just planning my demise. Maybe I'm paranoid...see what hot weather does to me.

SuNdAy

It's Sunday. It's dark and it's raining where I am right now. When you ask people what's their least favorite day of the week your usually going to hear either Sunday or Monday. It really sucks that their back to back days.

I remember when I was young I was all for the 4 day a week school schedule, like the Tuesday to Friday schedule. It made total sense. Come to think of it it still makes sense. Maybe it's cause I'm the laziest person ever. Yes. That's a badge I wear proudly.

And will always wear proudly.

Even this post has laziness written all over it.

Regular Posts back on Monday.

Favorite Ads Ever!

I'm sorry. But I think the Free credit report guys are awesome. No, I'm not a sell out and no I wasn't hired to be their spokesperson...though I do need the money.

I just think that every commercial they come out with does nothing to peak my interest in free credit but it does fulfill my love for catchy jingles.
I somehow usually know the words to the song when their ads pop up...dam these suit and ties and their freakin marketing ploys!
Feel free to click the link below to view my fav ad...catchy tunes rock.

The 10 Out-of-this World things to do B4 I die...#2

So this is the very much...anticipated...post #2 for my outrageous list of 'The 10 Out-of-this World things to do before I die."

#2- Date a Supermodel:

I don't know how this is even possible but I'm sure I can make it happen...big egos rule. I'm guessing my plan for dating a supermodel would include lots of bribes and threats but what relationship doesn't?

It seems these days models are into athletes...but i'm terrible at sports...which is why I blog and haven't seen the light of day in weeks.

This post was all but super. No pun intended. But I actually intended it. Right.

Blinded By the Light

If you spot me, I usually will have my glasses on. I need them to drive. And for school. I pretty much need them to not seem like I'm talking to blurry figures...vision rules.

So I have decided that I'm am going to try and get Lasik eye surgery. Lasik Eye Surgery is apparently an old fad that I am just latching on to...I might latch onto the new fad...Twitter.

From my understanding Lasik "fixes" your eyes in a matter of minutes. Has technology ever let us down...I think not.

Since this blog post was kind of empty, I will conclude by stating a few lyrics from a song that has nothing to do with vision whatsoever...I think...

"Blinded by the light, Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night..."

Vision and 70's music all in one. Far Out.

The 10 Out-of-this World things to do B4 I die....#1

So I've decided to write a list of the 10 things I'm going to do before I die. I will you use one post for each one in no particular order.

Fun times.

# 1- Write an Oscar winning Screenplay:

Yes...It's a stretch but it's a no-brainer. I have so many stories pin-balling in my head one of them is bound to find it's way to paper. One thing is for sure, sarcasm and dry humor will be spewing from it.

But I'm going to need an awesome life story to catch the attention of Hollywood. Diablo Cody (the writer of Juno) had the whole "former-stripper" thing going for her. I guess I can tell them that I'm a former drug dealer that wrote this screenplay in jail. Or maybe I can tell them I wrote it while stranded on an island for years.

Something like that is bound to grab their attention. Right?
Please make note, this list is just getting started and will be getting stranger as time progresses.
-Also a "hint" of sarcasm will be attach to each of these post, just giving you the heads up.
Post #2 in this list is coming soon.

You IN-complete me..

So I started reading this book called "The Road" a while ago. Never finished it. I found it in my closet with the book mark "marked" at the 93rd page.
Now I started reading this book for school...and I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna finish that either.

God Bless Spark Notes.

I just find it funny how we always finish things we probably shouldn't finish; like that wonderful Big Mac or that Philly Cheese steak with the side order of heart failure. Yet we always fall short or just completely put off important things.

You ever have a sudden rush of motivation and you get so excited. Like for example, how many times have you stated, "Tomorrow I start my diet," or "I'm gonna start being nice."

There as useless as New Years Resolutions.

I think it's the In-completeness that completes our lives. We love deadlines, risks, blue wire red wire, waiting till the last second. like pulling a Macgyver....whoever that is....or Macgruber...that's better.

The In-complete makes it unpredictable which makes it interesting.

Lesson learned.

The Return....

Yes...I know....I'm lazy but I have not and will not ever turn my back on blogging.

But anyway, my ears have been yearning for some good music lately. It's so easy to find music that's not good but I usually find myself on a scavenger hunt for the good tunes....yes I still say tunes.
-But 2009 will welcome the returns of Blink-182, Green Day, No Doubt, and Eminem. It's about time this decade got an adrenaline shot straight from the nineties.

Also I been hooked on a barrage of reality television. There's this show on VH1 called "I Love Money..." it's a show about reality stars...who apparently love money and want to win it. Promote the guy who thought of this.

In other news, School is taking up my time and I blame it on stealing my blogging time.

But I will make a promise to myself that blogging will become a daily thing in my life again....like working out....but I never do that. Figures.

Cram Session

Well, I been busy...or lazy...one of those two, maybe both.

I got a ton of school work but I'm probably going to do it the day before it's due like a true American student.

Oh, my late Superbowl Reaction: Well since neither team "is my team," I kind of didn't really care for the results. But I'm thankful for the dose of Americana Bruce Springsteen gave us and for attempting to slide on the stage on his knees...which even the "boss" couldn't pull off.

Oh and apparently Christian Bale gets angry at everyone these days. I mean before Batman, Bale wasn't really a mainstream actor, but now he's "growling" at people on set, threatening to quit, and picking up pay-checks.

Bad-ass.

Late-Night Rambling

It's late. I should really be in bed. I have to wake up early tomorrow. I'm already dreading it.

I'm posting this about 20 minutes before it's officially Monday.

Today I happened to catch the second half of Cast-Away, a movie that I've seen too many times. But it got me thinking how in the world he lasted four years alone on an island...well he wasn't that alone, I mean he did have a volleyball friend. I think I would last about 4 weeks if that. I wouldn't be able to crack the coconuts and I wouldn't be able to catch fish.

I would be screwed. I would need to find my own version of "Wilson." Maybe a rock or something...I need to put more thought into this...I mean you never know when you might find yourself deserted on an island...take note and watch Cast-Away and the Swiss family Robinson...those things are like "Surviving on an island for dummies book." Awesome.

"I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide might bring?"- Tom Hanks (Cast-Away)

Change.

A serious blog...the first of few serious blogs.

On Tuesday, January 20, Barack Obama will officially become our 44th president. I am sure that you will read millions of blogs on this but I will like to take the time to state that I am looking forward to the change that Barack Obama has talked about.

I really hope that this is the beginning of better days for this country. I know that it will probably take some time but I hope that we see changes being made.

On Tuesday, it will be a big day. It will be bigger than big. It will be important. It will be historic. It will be a day that shows our process and growth as not only a nation but as people. I think it's amazing how far we have come and amazing to think that we can still do so much more.

This will be day that will change everything. Hopefully for the good.

Small Break...

So it's been about a week since I blogged. But I don't want blogging to be a chore for me; I just need to be inspired to actually sit down and blog about something.

-For example: the amazing way a person proclaims "I will never drink again!" as they have their head in a toilet only to do it again a short while later. Fantastic.

That kind of thing makes me want to blog and share my insight on such random topics.

On another note I just recently saw the movie "Swing Vote," with Kevin Costner, who on a side note, I'm glad that he has decided to go bald gracefully and not go down the Nicolas Cage road who seems to be sporting something that hasn't been classified yet on the top of his head.

Anyway the movie is about the result of a presidential election coming down to one man's vote. That is pressure...though I don't really know where I was going with that.

This blog was kind of everywhere.

The Brillance of Saul Silver

I just saw "Pineapple Express" for the first time and I have to say that James Franco's oblivious, yet hilarious, pot dealing Saul Silver, has just become one of my favorite movie characters ever.
I mean the way Saul went about life with such patience and positivity is a way we all should go about life.
Granted Saul was high most of the time but everything he did was for the good of others...kind of...We should all take Saul's attitude towards life.

-I mean Saul was motivated to make better of himself: "...I'm gonna design septic tanks for playgrounds. Little kids can take shits!"
- He cared about others: "...Be careful. Wear shoes in the house. Safety. Safety first, then teamwork."
- And he's positive" "Don't worry, bro. Your cat's going to heaven."

So we should all learn to be a little like Saul Silver and learn to enjoy life...pot is optional though.

The Douche-Bag Moment

As I was mindlessly driving around the neighborhood something caught my attention. My left hand was hanging out the car window as I drove with one hand.

My god what was I doing?

We all have seen many people drive like this, but to me there is something so douche about it. Now I'm sure that even as professional "d-bags" roam the earth, others have caught themselves in a douchebag moment.

Moments like:
- Walking around with a "popped" collar.
- Wearing sunglasses indoors
- Suddenly becoming the loud and obnoxious one at a party.
- The quintessential "Schmuck" pose for a picture.

Now these are just a few these you might have done. But as long as they don't become an everyday thing they should keep you steer clear from douchebag territory.

Lets try to contain our inner doucheness. :)
